A profile gave one coding agent a reason to optimize instead of guessing: another agent then changed the editor. This is a visible measurement-to-repair handoff, not yet proof that the app became faster for its user.

A behavioral harness rescued the cheaper coding model on a tightly specified task, but made the stronger model slower and more expensive without improving its result. The acceptance gate mattered; running it throughout development did not always help.
