An external player fixes selection; an agent review catches the adjacent command
October 21–23, 2026, primary Battle Drones PR #40. An outside contributor who plays real-time strategy games said it was hard to play Battle Drones when Shift+drag could not add units to a selection. They submitted a two-commit change co-authored with Claude Opus 5.5. A Codex automated review called attention to an adjacent state transition: routing the drag through selectUnits cleared an armed “Move only” command, so the next ground click would become an attack-move. The revised commit changed the selection path, and the contributor said they manually checked the Move-only behavior. On October 23 the owner said it worked as intended and merged it; the contributor said they were enjoying a modified version on their own fork.
What this establishes: player complaint → contributor/agent-assisted patch → automated review → adjustment → player’s local QA → owner acceptance and merge, with a release note in v14. Human design and review matter at a command-state boundary invisible to a superficial UI check. The outside player both proposed and built the patch, so this is notfour-player multiplayer. It is a useful smaller same-feature feedback/review/release record for the independent-requester search, not a full match to that brief.
Post: short weekday operator trace if backlog clears; more independently grounded than a v14 announcement alone. Do not recast “having fun on a fork” as validation of the new four-player feature.
